      This mortar is handmade from clay and comes with a wooden pestle. The mortar measures 23 cm in diameter at the top and 13 cm at the base. The wooden pestle is 33 cm long, and the wood color may vary from light to dark. The set is made in traditional Laotian style and is used in Asian cooking to crush and grind ingredients such as papaya, chili, garlic, and herbs. The clay mortar is suitable for preserving the texture and flavor of ingredients, providing an authentic consistency in dishes such as Thai papaya salad, som tum.
