The filling consists of shrimp (19%), mung bean vermicelli, jicama, onion, carrot, cabbage, edamame, and spicy sauce with garlic, green onions, and sesame oil. The wrapper is made of wheat flour and rice starch, which gives a characteristically crispy and light texture after preparation. The spring rolls can be cooked in an air fryer at 200°C for 8-9 minutes or in a preheated oven at 220°C for 11-13 minutes. The air fryer method provides a particularly even and crispy surface without the need for extra oil. The taste is mild and well-rounded with notes of shrimp, sesame, and lightly spiced vegetables, inspired by Korean culinary tradition.
