Sweetened condensed milk is a processed dairy product where a large part of the water content has been removed from the milk, and sugar has been added to achieve a dense, smooth, and sweet consistency. The result is a rich and creamy liquid with a distinctive caramel-colored hue and an intensely sweet taste. The product is widely used in baking and confectionery, including for making cakes, pies, fudge, and other sweets. It is also popular as an addition to hot tea, coffee, and Asian beverages, where it contributes both sweetness and a round, milky richness. The consistency is thick and liquid, making it easy to dispense and mix into both hot and cold preparations. The can should be shaken thoroughly before use, and the contents removed from the can before preparation. The product should be stored frost-free at temperatures between +10 and +30 °C. Once opened, the contents should be transferred to a sealed container and stored in a refrigerator at a maximum of 5 °C, where it will keep for up to 3 days. The milk contains 8% fat and 20% fat-free milk solids, providing a balanced and nutritious composition. The product is packaged in a sturdy metal can, which protects the contents and ensures a long shelf life at room temperature before opening. The best-before date is printed on the bottom of the can.
