These frozen squid slices come from the Pacific flying squid Todarodes pacificus, a mollusc species caught in the Northwest Pacific using trawls. The raw material is pre-processed by being cleaned, gutted, and cut into pieces, making it ready for direct cooking without further preparation. The squid is particularly well-suited for Asian-inspired cooking, including stir-fries, grilled dishes, soups, and seafood platters.
