Description Antiseptic Liquid - Dettol Liquid - Chloroxylenol 4.8% w/v - 750 ml
Dettol Liquid is an effective, concentrated antiseptic solution containing Chloroxylenol 4.8% w/v as an active ingredient. The product kills bacteria and protects against microorganisms that can cause infections and disease. It can be used for antiseptic cleaning of minor wounds caused by cuts, bites, abrasions, and insect stings. Furthermore, it can be used against dandruff, blemishes, and spots, and, if medically advised, for personal hygiene. For wound care, dilute two and a half teaspoons (12.5 ml) of Dettol in half a pint (1/4 liter) of water, and wash the affected area and cover with dry gauze or lint-free cloth. For personal hygiene and douching, add one tablespoon (15 ml) to two pints (1 liter) of warm water. For treating dandruff, pour one tablespoon (15 ml) into half a pint (1/4 liter) of warm water over the scalp, and leave for 10 minutes before shampooing. The product also contains Pine Oil, Isopropyl Alcohol, caustic soda solution, and Castor Oil, which can cause skin reactions. The product contains a fragrance with trace amounts of benzyl alcohol and d-limonene. The bottle is brown and holds 750 ml.
