      Tempura Flour for Deep Frying - 500 g

      Tempura flour is an Asian flour blend used to create a light and crispy coating for deep frying. The product is composed of wheat flour as the primary ingredient, supplemented with tapioca starch, modified starch, baking powder, and salt, which together create a characteristic airy and crunchy surface on the fried food. The flour mixture is ready to use and only requires the addition of water before the ingredients are dipped in the batter and fried in hot oil. The tempura method originates from Japanese culinary tradition and involves coating ingredients in a thin, light batter consisting of flour and water, after which they are deep-fried at high heat. The result is a golden, crispy crust with a soft and juicy core. The flour blend is suitable for a wide range of ingredients, including shrimp, chicken strips, onion rings, bell peppers, zucchini, jalapeños, and fruits such as banana and pineapple. It can also be used to prepare tempura maki, where deep-fried shrimp are included in sushi rolls. For preparation, mix the flour with approx. 700 ml of water, then dip the desired ingredients in the batter and fry in oil until the surface is golden and crispy. Excess fat can then be absorbed by placing the fried pieces on paper towels. The product is delivered in a sealed 500g bag, which is practical to store in a dry and cool environment.
