    Gyoza dumplings with pork and vegetables are a frozen Asian specialty, belonging to the category of Japanese-inspired dough pockets. The filling makes up at least 65 percent of the product and consists primarily of vegetables such as cabbage and onions, as well as pork, providing a juicy and flavorful core surrounded by a thin dough shell. The dough makes up 35 percent and is made from wheat flour, water, rapeseed oil, and salt. The product is cooked directly from a frozen state and can be prepared in three different ways: pan-frying, steaming, or boiling, making it versatile for many cooking situations. For pan-frying, pour fat into a hot pan, then fry the gyozas over medium heat for approximately two minutes until golden, then add a little water so they steam until done for an additional three minutes. For steaming, boil water in a pot and place the gyozas on a steaming rack for six to ten minutes. The taste is mild and rich with notes of vegetables, pork, and spices like ginger and onion.
